‘Man Of Steel’ Final Trailer Is Released Ahead Of Next Week’s Opening

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s the final trailer for Zack Snyder’sMan of Steel, and it emphasizes the fantastic score by composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean) together with some incredibly destructive scenes.

The clip, which lasts for a little over two minutes shows a spectacular sequence in which the evil General Zod, played by Michael Shannon is fighting Jor-El played by Russell Crowe, who is Superman’s real father.

There are several scenes of super fights between our superhero, who is trying to save human kind and Zod, who wants him to return to Krypton and is bent on destroying the planet if Superman does not answer his command.

We have already seen most of the stuff on the new trailer in previous official clips. However, we see a little more of the interaction between Superman, played by Henry Cavill and Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams.

This clip shows more of the darker side of the film, which Snyder and Cavill have spoken of at length. This Superman, they say is more vulnerable than any other we have seen before.

In other news, Warner Bros. has signed up with 98 promotional partners (more than The Dark Knight Rises) for additional exposure. In the film, Sears plays an important role. Other companies associated with the movie are Gillette (razors), Converse (shoes), Mattel (action figures), and, an unusual one, the National Guard which is featured prominently in the film.

Warner Bros. is not discussing how much revenue these partnerships are bringing in, but it is expecting to bring on board even more international names before the movie hits next week.

According to some sourcesMan of Steel has been much easier to pitch than Dark Knight, which is a much darker plot and film.
