Original Fable Remake Revealed In Teaser Trailer

Lionhead has released a teaser trailer of the original Fable game remastered.

When Fable first came out on the original Xbox it became a widely acclaimed video game.

Set in a beautifully, dynamic world the main character fast establishes themselves as the Hero of this patch-work of cities known as Albion.

Early on in the game the Hero’s home village, Oakvale, is attacked by raiders and the main protagonist loses their family during the attack.

As the smoke clears and the extent of the devastation becomes evident, the Hero meets an old hero that sets them along the path to become a crucial member of the Heroes’ Guild.

The epic journey that unfolded on consoles has lead numerous fans to bombard Lionhead in a vain attempt to get the original remade, which is played upon at the beginning of the teaser trailer.

Since Fable was released in 2004 games have vastly improved their graphics and gameplay. It’s no wonder Lionhead has chosen now to reveal a Fable remake.

The Fable remake, titled Fable Anniversary, will be out on the current Xbox console and not the next generation Xbox One.

Though it seems unlikely this decision will affect the revenue projections connected with Xbox One.

According to a report by IGN “Fable Anniversary is currently slated for a 2013 Holiday release on Xbox 360 only”.

Not only will the game look and feel better for players it will also introduce achievements.

Nearly every self respecting gamer loves seeing that they’ve gained another achievement, it’s not just a sign you’ve played the game, it’s also an indicator that you’re dedicated enough to try and get them all.

To make the announcement even better for fans Lionhead has revealed that the Fable remake will feature the extended PC version content, Fable: Lost Chapters.

Since this announcement the advice given to Microsoft to drop Bing and Xbox devices seems like a foolish idea.

Whether you’re happy about the remake of Fable or not, the teaser trailer and the information that has since been released, has revealed how dramatically the game has been remade.

Not only will the Fable remake satisfy existing fans it will also appeal to new gamers unfamiliar with the Fable franchise.
