Paris Jackson Hospitalized After Possible Suicide Attempt

Paris Jackson was hospitalized on Wednesday after a possible suicide attempt, according to reports, some of which say the daughter of the late Michael Jackson tried to kill herself by slitting her wrists.

Jackson was loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher around 2 am local time after a 911 call reported a possible overdose. Reports are conflicting on whether it was actually an overdose, or if she sustained cuts to her wrists.

The report comes just one day after Paris posted cryptic tweets to her Twitter account, writing, “I wonder why tears are salty?” and “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”

A source close to Paris Jackson and her family stated that the teen has attempted suicide in the past, but it was “far more serious” this time. The source added, “It was not a cry for help.”

Eric George, a lawyer for Paris’ biological mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed the hospitalization, adding, “We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy.”

While it is not confirmed, the apparent suicide attempt was made by Paris when she was told she couldn’t go to a Marilyn Manson concert. However, there is probably more to the story. The fourth anniversary of her father’s death, an anniversary that is sure to be hard for the teen.

Paris Jackson, her grandmother Katherine Jackson, and her brothers, Prince and Blanket, are suing AEG Live for liability in her father’s death. The teen and her brother are scheduled to testify in the wrongful death trial later this month, though it is not clear what effect her hospitalization will have on the trial.

Other than her most recent tweets, Paris appeared happy on social media, posting Vines and photos of herself and acting like a normal teenage girl. Paris Jackson’s suicide attempt was confirmed by her mother to ET Online on Wednesday afternoon.
