Chili-Finger Lady Heads Back To Prison After New Scam

A northern California woman, affectionately known as the chili-finger lady, is heading back to prison.

Anna Ayala was sentenced to four years in prison back in 2005 after she planted a severed finger in a bowl of Wendy’s chili. Ayala tried to sue the restaurant for millions of dollars but ended up with a four-year prison sentence and the nickname chili-finger lady.

Well, Ayala didn’t learn her lesson.

She was arrested back in October after she told police that her son had been shot by two men. According to San Mercury News, Ayala lied to police because she was trying to prevent her son from going to prison for felony possession of a firearm after he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Police said that Ayala gave an incredibly detailed account of the fake shooting and even claimed to know who was responsible for the crime. Authorities interrogated an innocent men and eventually concluded that the woman was lying about the shooting.

Ayala plead no contest to three felony charges (filing a false police report, being an accessory to a felony, and possession of a felony firearm) and will soon be heading back to prison. According to ABC, the chili-finger lady will be officially sentenced in September.

Prosecutor Bret Wasley said that the judge could have given Ayala four years in prison but decided to diminish the sentence because she didn’t challenge the charges and cause a trial.

Wasley said: “I understand where the judge is coming from, but I respectfully disagree. Four years would have been reasonable since she has a history of manipulating the system.”
