Hulu Subscription Based App May Arrive For iPad

Stick this one up on the shelf with the various other iPad rumors currently circulating the web. It looks like video streaming provider Hulu is developing an iPad application with one big difference from their other online offerings, it will require a subscription.

The New York Times is reporting that Hulu is working on the app which should be announced in the near future and that Hulu CEO Jason Kilar said he’s “open to subscriptions as a complement to the ad-supported model.”

Apple has been pressuring users to move away from Adobe Flash to the more developer friendly HTML5, so I would expect that the program would fall within the HTML5 range.
