The website BeautifulPeople.com has set its sights on becoming a job site for beautiful people as well as a dating site where only people deemed to be attractive can join. Having first opened it’s doors as a place where beautiful people could meet, the site is now planning to offer a recruitment service where employers can find aesthetically pleasing employees.

With a user base of more than 750,000 people, there is potentially a large pool of talent to draw from. So not only do members have to seek the vote of others to stay active on the site, but now they might also have to meet the requirements of a potential employer – a lot of pressure for a dating/recruitment sight.

The managing director of BeautifulPeople.com Greg Hodges said in a statement:

“An honest employer will tell you that it pays to hire good-looking staff, attractive people tend to make a better first impression on clients, win more business and earn more.”

Despite the apparent comical nature of a job site for beautiful people, Hodges clarified that the site isn’t a place for crackpots to come and ogle it’s beautiful members. Chances are the idea will sit well with companies such as Abercrombie & Fitch who have frequently been in the news for hiring only beautiful members of staff and even wanting their customers to be beautiful.

One particular example of how the site could work is when hiring for positions in a cosmetics store, an industry that prides itself on looking their best and putting forward a presentable image to the public. So when it comes to personal appearance in the workplace, a job site for beautiful people may not be so crazy after all.
