Shemar Moore Accused Of Assault, Claims He Acted In Defense

Actor Shemar Moore is claiming he was not the attacker of a female caller who placed a 911 which resulted in police officers showing up at his Encino, California home.

Police responded to a 911 call in which a female caller claimed the actor assaulted her. Upon arriving at the home, Moore told officers that he was the one assaulted.

A law enforcement officials tells TMZ that the call went down around 3:45 am. Police say they arrived, and both Shemar Moore and the unnamed female accused one another of pushing and shaving.

Police say drinking was involved in the attack. A witness at the scene says someone who wasn’t Moore pushed the unnamed victim into the actor’s pool.

The female attempted to enter the actor’s home after she was pushed in the pool but was denied access because she was soaking wet. Someone inside the house asked that the female wait until towels were fetched.

When Shemare Moore personally arrived at the door with the towels, the female reportedly became more irate. Realizing her escalating behavior, Moore asked the lady to leave.

It’s not clear who started the pushing and shoving match first, but it was the female who called police.

When police arrived, Shemar Moore and the unnamed female both requested that the other be arrested. Police found no visible injuries and issued a warning before leaving the property.

Encino police are still investigating the possible assault and battery case; however, there will likely be no arrests because of lacking evidence.

Shemar Moore has not issued a public statement regarding the possible assault and battery case at this time.
