Kobe Bryant ‘Medical Mamba’ Treadmill Workout [Photo]
Kobe Bryant’s “medical mamba” tweet and Instagram photograph have provided a sneak peek into the NBA champion’s fight to rehabilitate his left Achilles’ tendon. Despite some rumors in the past that the injury could have ended his career, the Los Angeles Lakers guard is lookin’ good on the Alter G weight-bearing treadmill. Check Bryant’s photo at the bottom of this post, and I think you’ll be impressed at how hard he’s working.
Bryant was recently allowed to shed a special walking boot, but he got custom-made Nikes to make sure that his recovering tendon is provided with extra support. On Friday, he shared the tweet and Instagram photo to let fans see how he was doing.
And the fans are thrilled that Kobe Bryant’s “medical mamba” drama may soon have a happy ending. Some of the comments on Instagram include remarks like, “We believe on you KOBE,” “Rest up, mamba,” “Love you, keep working hard,” and “Hope you get well soon.”
Some admirers sympathize because they too have sports injury challenges, even if they’re not as high-profile as Kobe Bryant’s.
One fan on Twitter simply asked if similar shoes would be available from Nike soon. Kobe hasn’t yet had time to answer the question, but my guess is that we won’t be disappointed.
One female fan actually gushed over the shoes: “That’s exactly what we need to help support our feet and look great [so] we’re able to perform. I had knee surgery.”
But whether they expressed an interest in shopping for shoes or not, most admirers were united in their wish to see Kobe Bryant back in the game:

Whether you’re a fan or a hater, I think we can all agree that it looks like Kobe Bryant is working hard to recover from the “medical mamba” drama.
