Oscar Pistorius Bloody Crime Scene Photos Leaked

Oscar Pistorius is back in the news on Saturday, with two media sources reporting different exclusives on the double amputee sprinter who became a paralympian competitor for his native South Africa. Pistorius will be back in a Pretoria court for a hearing Tuesday, as prosecutors move forward with their plans to put him on trial in 2014 for the murder of his girlfriend, 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius maintains that he shot and killed Steenkamp by accident, thinking that an intruder had entered his home. Although the explanation may seem weak to outsiders, South Africa has suffered a violent crime wave in recent years that makes the story believable to some people there.

CNN’s Robyn Curnow published an exclusive interview on Friday with Oscar Pistorius’ uncle and trainer, Arnold Pistorius. He told Curnow that the sprinter’s grief is “unthinkable…What can you say if the person you love the most dies, and you were the instrument? How would you feel?”

The former Olympian is out of jail on bond since Feb. 22 but his uncle said that he stays at home and won’t venture into public places.

On Friday, Sky News published an exclusive set of photographs that reveal the bloody scene of the accident or the crime, depending on who you believe. Before you decide to view the bloody pictures, you should be aware that they are bloody and show upsetting images of Steenkamp’s blood spilled across a sterile white bathroom.

In the notorious Valentine’s Day shooting, Pistorius fired four shoots into a closed bathroom door. He said that he thought Steenkamp was in bed with him and didn’t realize that it was her in the bathroom until it was too late.

However, prosecutors have argued that Steenkamp was hiding in the bathroom from Pistorius after a lover’s quarrel and that he deliberately shot her.

The public clearly hasn’t seen all of the evidence, but Sky News reporter Alex Crawford said that the low angle from which the shots were fired may support defense claims that Pistorius had just awakened and hadn’t yet put on his prosthetic legs when he panicked and went on the attack against the imagined burglar.

South African authorities have sought to push back the trial to allow them time to gather new evidence against Pistorius. They have already said that they won’t be finished until August, so Oscar Pistorius’ Tuesday hearing may last only 10 minutes.
