Chrissy Teigen, Amanda Bynes Twitter Dispute Pulls In More Celebs

The Chrissy Teigen and Amanda Bynes Twitter spat has become the latest in the latter’s weird social media cum real life breakdown, and more stars on Twitter have been drawn into the back and forth — during which Teigen begged fans not to feed the negative attention flames.

The Chrissy Teigen Bynes spat began when Amanda’s strange behavior was cluck clucked at by the Sports Illustrated model on her own feed, and Chrissy (perhaps a bit condescendingly) hoped aloud that someone would help Amanda.

Oh no, she didn’t.

Bynes responded to Chrissy Teigen with all the grace and aplomb she could muster — which means she called the model “ugly” and “old,” despite the pair being exactly the same age.

Teigen started off by tweeting:

“The fact that Amanda Bynes has any ‘support’ to retweet is really unsettling. Support people with mental illness, yes. But don’t condone/enable scary and poor behavior.”

Bynes had to bust out an extended tweet, because her rage unleashed upon Chrissy Teigen was impossible to contain within 140 characters. The former Disney star ranted:

“Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don’t look up to u beauty wise. I’m far prettier than u! I’m offended that you’re saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me!”

Amanda continued:

“You look 45! You’re not pretty so I’m not intimidated by you! I think you’re jealous that you’re just an ugly model whos career is uninspiring! I don’t respect you! You’re no beauty queen! I’m a beauty queen!”

Courtney Love (who’d previously told Bynes to “pull it together”) got involved, when Bynes attacked her as well — and both the widow of Kurt Cobain and actress Alyssa Milano tweeted about Amanda’s mental health:

Teigen said to fans:

Do you think the Chrissy Teigen tweets about Amanda Bynes were cruel, or has the actress really lost it?
