Justin Bieber Gets Police Visit After New Alleged Reckless Driving Incident, Keyshawn Johnson A Complainant

Update: It is now being reported that Bieber was not in fact driving the car at the time of the alleged reckless incident.

Justin Bieber is reportedly being investigated by Los Angeles’ County Sheriff’s Department over another alleged reckless driving incident.

The new investigation follows complaints by neighbors living in the Calabasas, Los Angeles exclusive enclave where the 19-year-old has a home, who allege the singer drove his Ferrari at high speeds around the gated community.

TMZ reports the alleged incident took place at around 8 pm on Sunday, May 26, but other reports at multiple mainstream outlets state the alleged incident occurred on Monday, May 27.

TMZ also report L.A. County Sheriff Dept. spokesman Steve Whitmore as saying the department received two separate calls from different locations within the Calabasas community.

Whitmore said the callers reported Bieber was driving at a “startling high rate of speed.”

TMZ claims at least one child was playing in the vicinity of where the Canadian was allegedly driving.

In addition, sources close to the new investigation claim one of the callers was former NFL wide receiver, Keyshawn Johnson. The 40-year-old All-American honoree retired from football in 2006 and is now a television broadcaster for sports channel ESPN.

Police visited Bieber’s home but the teen singer reportedly declined to speak to them.

Although the new investigation comes under the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept.’s remit, Whitmore has reportedly said the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office.

The consequences of that could be far-reaching.

Bieber was previously investigated by the L.A. Sheriff’s Department for battery after another Calabasas neighbor claimed the teen spat at and threatened to kill him after he confronted the pop star over allegedly reckless driving around the exclusive residential area on the morning of March 26.

Schwartz claimed he walked onto Bieber’s property and yelled, “You can’t drive like this!”

The teen singer allegedly replied, “Get the f–k out of here. I’m gonna f–king kill you,” and then spat in his neighbor’s face.

Schwartz subsequently filed an assault charge against Bieber.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that sources close to the Sheriff’s department said officials would be recommending that the singer be prosecuted for battery in their case handover to the L.A County District Attorney’s Office.

The website also stated the District Attorney’s Office was reviewing the Sheriff’s Department’s report and that a decision on Bieber’s possible prosecution would be made shortly.

As yet there has been no comment from the teen star’s representatives on the new allegations, or the battery investigation.
