Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn went jet skiing Memorial Day weekend along with the golfer’s kids, a sign that the relationship is heating up.
It was only the second public outing with Vonn and Tiger’s kids, 5-year-old Sam and 4-year-old Charlie. A few days before Vonn took the kids to school without either parent tagging along.
Woods and Vonn were seen jet skiing near the golfer’s home in Jupiter, Florida. Tiger’s kids were there, wearing life jackets and enjoying the water.
In the spirit of the holiday, Vonn tweeted: “Happy Memorial Day. I would like to thank all the men and women who have served and are serving our country. Truly grateful!”
For Woods and Vonn, the jet skiing trip was a sign that the relationship is moving forward. Though Tiger’s ex-wife and mother to the two kids Elin Nordegren was not present on the family trip, she has been seen with them before and seems to be giving her approval to Tiger’s new girlfriend.
Woods has been seeing the Olympian for a few months now, but for at least the first few months there was little word on how Tiger’s famous ex was receiving the relationship. Though Woods and Nordegren split in 2009 after Tiger’s very public cheating scandal was revealed, the two have maintained a civil relationship.
But a report from last week that Nordegren joined the couple for a trip on Tiger’s yacht makes it clear that Elin approves of Vonn.
Elin’s approval seems a step forward for Woods and Vonn. Just a few weeks ago, Lindsey chose to wait in a car rather than be around Elin at a soccer game for her 5-year-old daughter.
Vonn apparently drove with Tiger to the game but then stayed in the car for the entire game.
When Woods and Vonn went on their jet skiing trip, they had both children along and all seemed quite happy, reports said.
