Psy was booed during his half-time performance of his hit “Gangnam Style” at the Italian Cup Final yesterday, May 26.
The video of the incident is linked below.
The South Korean rapper looked visibly embarrassed as both Roma and Lazio fans united to voice their hostility to his show.
Event organizers attempted to drown out the swelling boos by turning up the volume of Psy’s playback.
Digital Spy reports police arrested nine people after some violent behavior at the match. In addition, sizeable caches of weapons were reportedly seized.
Meanwhile, last week, a Psy impostor managed to fool the great and the good at the now just ended Cannes Film Festival.
The man, who bores a resemblance to the real 35-year-0ld singer, wangled his way into several VIP parties at Cannes, picked up freebies, danced on a French TV show and even signed a deal to take part in a Monaco gala.
“He was playing it up full scale,” a source told the New York Post. “He had three security guards with him at all times, in suits and earpieces.”
At the time of the deception, the real Psy was actually in Singapore ahead of an appearance at the inaugural Social Star awards during which he won the Dance Music award.
Told of the fake Psy by his manager Scooter Braun, the rapper wrote a message on Twitter that he was not in Cannes and tweeted a picture of the pretender.
“Seems like there’s another ME at cannes,” the genuine Psy wrote. “Say Hi to him.”

Skyfall actress Naomie Harris, who had previously shared a photo of herself with the impostor Psy, also tweeted about the trickery.

“It looks as if we’ve been fooled, that wasn’t the real (PSY])!” she wrote. “Could anyone else tell from the picture? Or am I just going crazy!? Haha!”
Psy will shortly host the upcoming 2013 MuchMusic Video awards, which take place on Sunday, June 16 in Toronto, Canada.
