South Park Season Premier Highest Rated Since 1999

South Park returned to television for its 14th season Wednesday night, and it returned with a bang, delivering its highest opening season ratings since 1999.

The episode, which tackled the an outbreak of sex scandals among celebrities, saw 3.7 million viewers in the United States, a figure that delivered Comedy Central its highest rating night of the year to date.

Without giving away too many spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s worth the watch. The EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 game being my particular highlight.
