Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has just landed a new teaser trailer.
Will Farrell’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was one of those “love it or hate it” type comedies. Will Farrell played the role of Newscaster Ron Burgundy, a sleazy, womanizing jackass who went to any length possible to retain his position as the anchorman of San Diego’s KVWN Channel 4 action news team.
The entire team is so against having a woman working with them that when one is hired in place of Ron Burgundy, it starts a fight which eventually ends in Ron getting fired. In the end, due to a news team brawl in which Ron saves Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) from a bear, Ron gets his job back and Veronica is accepted as their new co-anchor.
In the sequelAnchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Ron Burgundy’s team is now in New York, and not much more is known at this point.
Directed by Adam McKay, Anchorman 2 stars Will Farrell (The Other Guys), Christina Applegate (Mafia), Steve Carell (Dinner for Schmucks), David Koechner (Get Smart), Paul Rudd (This is 40), Kristen Wiig (Despicable Me), James Marsden (X-Men), Dylan Baker, Meagan Good, Harrison Ford, Greg Kinnear, Josh Lawson, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and Nicole Kidman.
The new teaser trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues begins with four men walking toward the camera in front of stadium lights. The narrator starts, “Jesus, McArthur, Jay-Z, the great ones always return. And when they do, one thing’s for sure. Their hair will be perfect.”
The four men stop in a straight line side by side, and all we see are the bottoms of their pants and their shoes. The camera cuts to their faces to include all four, and it’s the Anchorman crew.
Ron Burgundy says, “We haven’t see you in a while, America. You haven’t changed a bit.”
Champ Kind (David Koeschner) says, “I’ve got liquor breath, and I don’t wanna be your friend.”
The rest of the teaser trailer is above. The film is slated to hit sometime this year.
