George Michael Crash Results In Minor Injuries For ‘Faith’ Singer

Despite early reports, George Michael’s crash only resulted in minor injuries for the singer. We know you were worried about the Wham! frontman, but remember, you gotta have faith.

Michael caused a bit of a stir Thursday when he was involved in a car crash in London and had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Sounds pretty serious, but the 49-year-old singer is only being treated for “minor cuts and bruises” according to his publicist.

“George Michael was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident yesterday evening, no third party was involved,” a spokesperson for Michael confirmed Friday. “He is being treated for superficial cuts and bruises but is fine.”

Additionally, Michael’s boyfriend Fadi Fawaz confirmed that the singer was going to pull through.

“Of course I was worried, but I have spoken to him, and he is good. He suffered a few bruises, but there is nothing to worry about. He’s due out soon, but I don’t know when. I have no idea what happened. I wasn’t there,” Fawaz said from Michael’s home.

Basically, George Michael got a free helicopter ride.

But you can’t blame the media for being concerned about George Michael. The singer has experienced a litany of scares since 2011, including a fight with severe pneumonia that left him in intensive care for a month. Afterwards, he cancelled his Australia tour due to “major anxiety” brought on by his recovery.

Also, in 2010, Michael was sentenced to eight weeks in prison for another car crash. He had driven his car into a store while under the influence of cannabis. He was also fined and banned from driving for five years.

Are you a fan of George Michael? Are you relieved that George Michael’s crash only resulted in minor injuries for the singer?
