Child Porn Manhunt: Police On Nationwide Search For Man Seen Raping 7-Year-Old Girl

UPDATE: Police have arrested the suspect in the child porn case close to 24 hours after the manhunt began. The arrest came after a tip to a hotline.

Police are on a nationwide manhunt for a man seen on a child porn video raping a girl who appears to be as young as 7.

Federal investigators released images of the man this week, hoping that someone from the public can step forward with information that leads to his identification.

The child porn videos, four in total, were found by the Danish National Police. They shared the information with federal officials in the United States where an agent determined from a bag of Rold Gold pretzels seen in a video that the man and the girl must be living in the United States. Time stamps on the video show they were taken in mid- to late-April.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said the girl being raped on the child porn video could still be in jeopardy and hope releasing images of the man and extending the manhunt nationwide will lead to some kind of clues as to their whereabouts.

“We’ve had a couple of instances where we’ve tracked child predators down when we’ve asked for the public’s assistance,” said Carissa Cutrelle, a spokeswoman for ICE.

Officials said the man appeared to be between the ages of 45 and 55 with a brown mustache and balding light brown hair. He is seen in a room filled with music paraphernalia including guitars, speakers, and a keyboard.

There are other clues in the room the man is seen in. His chairs have a red and white checkered towel on the bottom, and the back rest has a pink mat draped over it.

Other than the few clues, authorities say they don’t have any idea where in the nation the child porn suspect could be.
