Rachael Leigh Cook Expecting First Child

Actress Rachael Leigh Cook is expecting her first child with husband Daniel Gillies.

The She’s All That star explained that the baby is due this fall. Cook and the Vampire Diaries alum tied the knot back in 2004.

“I’ve been hiding my rapidly growing bump while shooting but this kiddo is vying for screen time. We clearly have a future actor on our hands,” she explained to Us Weekly.

Rachael Leigh Cook is currently filming the second season of the TNT show Perception. Since her character on the program isn’t pregnant, she has been working to conceal the baby bump while shooting her scenes.

Daniel Gillies, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to care if the baby is a boy or a girl. He’s just genuinely excited to become a father.

“A lot of people are asking whether I’d prefer a boy or a girl. In truth, it doesn’t matter to me. I just can’t wait to meet little Keanu Robocop,” the actor said.

The little bundle of joy isn’t the only thing Cook and Gillies have collaborated on in recent days. The couple also joined forces for the upcoming motion picture Broken Kingdom. The film is slated to premiere on Showtime on May 15.

The movie, which was written and directed by the Vampire Diaries star, as features Rachael Leigh Cook in one of the lead roles. The film has been described as follows:

A 14-year-old prostitute girl and an ill-fated, eccentric American writer forge a strange companionship.
