A Fourth Woman May Have Been Held In Cleveland Kidnapping

Reports of a fourth woman held alongside rescued kidnap victims Amanda Berry, Michelle Knight, and Gina DeJesus have been surfacing as the myriad horrors of the case come to light, and DeJesus reportedly told cops that she had indeed been held along with another woman not rescued, who reportedly disappeared from the home.

Knight, Berry, and DeJesus were rescued after the intervention of neighbor Charles Ramsey, who alerted police and attempted to free the three as well as Berry’s daughter, born during her ordeal.

All three of the women were held for years, and Ramsey even remarked that as the woman’s identity clicked, he’d believed she was dead after having been missing so long.

A picture is beginning to emerge of the horrific circumstances of the women’s abduction and years of imprisonment, with reports of police calls about naked women on dog leashes possibly going ignored before the dramatic rescue.

But one is particularly haunting, concerning a possible fourth victim and a haunting inscription reportedly discovered on the walls of the home from which the victims were recovered alive.

Local news station Fox 8 cites local law enforcement sources as indicating evidence of a potential fourth victim, saying:

“A source further noted that Knight told police that there was another woman in the home when she got there, but one day she woke up and the woman was gone. There is writing on the wall in the basement which includes the name of a female and says, ‘Rest In Peace,’ but police do not know if that is related to the case at this time.”

Despite reports of a fourth woman possibly held at the house during the kidnap ordeal, police have thus far found no evidence of human remains during initial searches of the premises. However, evidence of “digging and excavation” were discovered in the home’s backyard.
