Kat Dennings Addresses Drake Romance Rumors
Kat Dennings addressed rumors that she is currently romancing Drake during her appearance on Chelsea Lately.
The 2 Broke Girls star said she has received some fairly nasty tweets from fans of the musician once reports of their relationship started making the rounds online.
Although a lot of people are pretty upset about the rumored romance, Kat Dennings told Chelsea Handler that it’s essentially much ado about absolutely nothing.
“What happened was, and I’m glad we’re talking about this, Drake was super nice and said something on Twitter about me. I had met him when I was, like, 19 when I was doing an indie film in Toronto, and so he said something, and I didn’t realize that happened. So when I got home, I had, like, 50,000 new followers out of nowhere,” the actress explained.
Unfortunately for Kat Dennings, the people who decided to follow her on Twitter weren’t exactly supportive of the rumored relationship. Instead of well-wishes, she received a handful of angry tweets that told her to stay away from their make-believe boyfriend.
“Then I realized what had happened, and then we started talking and he’s super, super nice. He’s a lovely person. He’s a nice man,” Dennings explained to Chelsea Handler.
People started speculating about Drake and Kat Dennings after the pair enjoyed a nice sushi dinner together. While the actress insists that nothing romantic took place, Handler wasn’t buying the story. Apparently Twitter users didn’t believe her, either.
