Gunshots Interrupt Jennifer Lopez Music Video Shoot

Jennifer Lopez’ music video shoot in Fort Lauderdale this weekend was halted after gunshots were fired nearby.

The singer, who was filming with Pitbull for their new single “Live It Up,” was at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Park filming a scene when gunshots were fired. The singer was quickly rushed off the set by security as officials investigated the incident.

The Miami Herald reports that Lopez waited safely in her vehicle with Casper Smart while authorities made sure that the area was safe.

Rob Marciano, who was on the set with Entertainment Tonight, wrote on Twitter: “BREAKING: Gunshots fired on Fort Lauderdale Beach DURING my JLo interview. No kidding. Security scrambled her away.”

It’s unclear who fired the shots but police said that no one was injured.

Marciano wrote on Twitter: “Police confirming: ‘shots fired. no one hit.’ Whew.”

The “Live It Up” video features Lopez, Pitbull, and America’s Next Top Model alum Eva Marcille. Casper Smart, who met Lopez when he was one of her backup dancers, was on the set of the video but it’s unclear if he’ll be filming scenes with Lopez.

Here’s a video of Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull during another collaboration, “Dance Again.”

Lopez is busy with her music career at the moment but there are rumors that she could soon be heading back to reality TV.
