With Indiana Jones 5 currently in production and set to premiere next summer, fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for any information they can get their hands on pertaining to the upcoming film.

Unfortunately, with the premiere just under a year away, fans have not yet seen a sneak peek and the trailer will likely not be shared for a few more months.

That said, the film's director, James Mangold, did recently share a key piece of information on Twitter.

After being confronted by a fan on the social media platform earlier this month, Mangold offered a response to his question about the costume Harrison Ford will be wearing.

In the fan's tweet, he said that while he was unconcerned about the trailer he did have something on his mind.

"There is one question I’d like to ask [James Mangold]. I’m not worried about the trailer, or first official photos, or plot details. I just want to know one thing… bag strap over or under?" he asked.

In response to the fan's October 8 tweet, Mangold confirmed that when it comes to Ford's Indiana Jones attire, his bag strap will be situated over his jacket, rather than under.

"Over!" he replied.

Following Mangold's response, a Twitter user with the name Adventure Guide confirmed his answer by sharing a series of photos.

"Strap over the Jacket was also to see at the #IndianaJones shooting today. [Pics from a short film sequence from FB (Roger Diaz)]," the person had written.

After Mangold was announced as the director of Indiana Jones 5, taking the reins from Steven Spielberg, who directed the first four films, he was hit with criticism from fans of the franchise on Twitter.

"I understand wariness, I live it. I don't know if I'll make you happy. But my team & I will knock ourselves out trying to make something good. We admire the craft of the originals. I hope when you see real images, they'll look better to you than paparazzi shots from bushes," Mangold responded, giving a nod to images from production that have surfaced on social media.

Following Mangold's response, a fan wrote, "Respect to you, sir for engaging with your audience, even if feathers were ruffled and heated words were exchanged. This fandom has become jaded due to so many of their beloved franchises being destroyed by politics and ideology. We wish Hollywood had that timeless magic again."

Mangold again responded to the message, saying, "Maybe, just maybe, I won't let you down."

"I cherish old Hollywood pictures. Give me a little air to make the film. Then make your judgements, okay?" he added.
