Alexandra Breckenridge is currently starring on one of the most popular series on Netflix, Virgin River, which was recently renewed for not one, but two new seasons by the streaming service.

Though the 39-year-old actress' role as Mel on the streaming service's mega-hit is likely her most notable role, she's been in a number of other films and television shows as well, including NBC's scripted drama This is Us and the 2015 film, Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story.

Alexandra Breckenridge Is Married To Casey Hooper

Since 2015, Breckenridge has been married to Casey Hooper. But who is he?

According to a November 2020 report from Distractify, Hooper is a guitarist for Katy Perry, who first met his actress wife at an after party for the Grammys.

Breckenridge and Hooper were married in Dunton, Colorado in front of a small group of loved ones.

"We love circular ceremonies and this one was beautiful in the middle of a field,” the wedding photographers later blogged. “The day was perfect and ended with some beautiful fireworks.”

Alexandra Breckenridge Is A Mom Of Two

In the years since they wed, Breckenridge and Hooper have welcomed two children, starting with their son Jack Breckenridge Hooper, who arrived in 2016, and more recently, their daughter Billie Breckenridge Hooper, who was born the following year.

Although their living arrangements may have changed due to Breckenridge's filming responsibilities with Virgin River, she and Hooper were living with their children in Georgia as of January 2019.

“The rural areas of Georgia have an amazing sense of community we were lacking in L.A.,” Breckenridge said years ago, via Atlanta Magazine. “We wanted our children to grow up in a place where they could play and ride their bikes that didn’t feel like a big city.”

Alexandra Breckenridge Has Seen Major TV Success

Over the past 10 years, Breckenridge has established a name for herself as a successful television actress with roles in several well-known TV shows, including Franklin & Bash, True Blood, American Horror Story, Men at Work, Save Me, Rake, and even The Walking Dead.

More recently, she's appeared in Extant as Zoe Grant, in Pure Genius as Margot Byer, and on This Is Us as a character named Sophie.

In 2018, Breckenridge was featured on one episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Alexandra Breckenridge's Most Recent Film Role Was In 2016's 'Broken Vows'

Although Breckenridge's first known film appearance came in 2002 as an uncredited role in Orange County, she's been on an uphill trek ever since, starring in a number of other films that same year, including Big Fat Liar, Wishcraft, Vampire Clan, and Slasher Flick.

Following her incredibly busy 2002, Breckenridge went on to star in 2003's D.E.B.S., 2005's Rings, and 2006's She's the Man and Jack Rabbit.

The actress has also had roles in The Art of Travel, The Bridge to Nowhere, Darkest Hour, Ticket Out, and Other People's Children.

Breckenridge's most recent film role came five years ago when she starred as Debra in 2016's Broken Vows. Since then, she appears to be focused solely on her television career.
