Christopher Meloni's impressively fit physique at age 60 has won over the internet earlier this year, with fans paying special attention to a certain part of the actor's anatomy.

After a photo of his sculpted behind went viral on social media in April, people have become obsessed not only with Meloni's firm and prominent posterior -- one "appearing to rival Kim Kardashian’s," per Men's Health -- but also with how he stays in shape.

As Vanity Fair so eloquently puts it, Meloni knows his chiseled rear end is "having a moment."

The Law and Order and Wet Hot American Summer star discussed his marvelous backside -- which has its own Instagram fanpage -- both in his June spread for Interview Magazine and in his August Men's Health cover story.

While the actor seems to be enjoying all the recent attention -- "It’s cool as sh*t," he told Men's Health's Anna Peele -- he's certainly worked very hard to attain his internet-breaking physique.

Here's What Christopher Meloni Said About His 'Blessed' Glutes

According to the publication, Meloni owes his zaddy derrière to his passion for waterskiing and running, as well as to "a bodybuilding split that emphasized his lower body and further sculpted his glutes." The Marauders actor puts in loads of time and energy at the gym, working with a personal trainer to stay in tip-top shape.

This is what Meloni had to say about his attention-grabbing bum.

“I’ve been blessed with glutes that have an attractive shape. But I have a trainer, and we’re going through bodybuilding phases, and where everyone kind of caught me was that I’d been preparing for one year in a very high-intensity weight training program that actually focused on legs."

It seems that Vanity Fair's quip that "Meloni hasn’t missed a single leg day for the last 60 years" wasn't really that far off from reality.

According to his personal trainer, Matt Pietrantonio, “Chris had some permutation [of leg training] every day.”

The actor is deeply invested in fitness and was quoted as saying that, for him, exercise is "therapy, church, meditation, and a kind of personal re-engagement where the brain and the body get to talk to one another."

Workout Tips For A Christopher Meloni-esque Posterior

For glutes gains to rival Meloni's, kick off your workout routine with three sets of front-loaded kettlebell good mornings of 15 reps each.

Another key exercise to incorporate in your workout is the hamstring walkout. Go for three sets of 10 reps each, spending at least two seconds on each rep, and you should be well on your way toward a Meloni-esque posterior.

The barbell sumo deadlift is another glutes-centered exercise that will get you that enviable form we so admire in Meloni. Three sets of four-to-six reps should do.

To get a lower body like Meloni's, don't forget the barbell hip thrusts. Set your limit at three sets of 12 reps each.
