Kelly Ripa Opens Wide For Icing Binge With 'Cake Boss'

Scroll for the video, one that welcomed Buddy after a horrific home accident he sustained at his New Jersey property, one seeing a family bowling session go horribly wrong. Showing recovery and bringing plenty of cake to the set shared with 45-year-old Ryan Seacrest, Buddy got to work outlining why he's a celebrity cake maker, with Kelly getting involved in a later segment.

Buddy, whose world-renowned Carlo's Rainbow Cake was featured, then gave Kelly a go at the cake-making, with the pint-sized blonde told she "wants her sugar rush" by Ryan.

Kelly, who wore an apron bearing the show's logo over a tight black top, was seen holding the piping tool, asking: "How do I unscrew Ryan's cake?!" The mom of three, copying Buddy's "squeeze" and "spin" icing skills, followed along, then laughing at her piping made a farting sound.

Kelly did wonder if Buddy should be at work with his stitches, then saying she was doing a "terrible" job. The former dancer then got her guzzle on. See more photos after the video!

A caption from Live! welcomed Buddy, reading: "Glad to see @buddyvalastro back at it!"

"l laughed out loud this morning when Ryan icing the cake right onto the floor!!!!" one fan replied - not the first food headline from Ryan of late as the American Idol host makes headlines for drowning in feta cheese and pasta amid Kelly's recent absence, then returning to amaze fans with his amazing whipped coffee, TikTok-style. 

As to what Kelly eats when she isn't downing icing, the woman who's called her body a Peter Pan one has opened up.

In 2020, Kelly was asked to keep a food diary by Harper's Bazaar. Alongside listing oatmeal and chopped apple breakfasts, the salad lover mentioned one very Generation X trend.

"The avocado toast kick of 2015 to 2017 was two years where avocado toast was pretty much the foundation of my diet," Kelly revealed.

 "And I had it with just about every meal. Sometimes, I would fry an egg and add that on top. Sometimes, a piece of cheese would accompany the avocado toast. But the avocado toast was a real staple of my diet."
