‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Trailer Details You May Have Missed

Grand Theft Auto V received three new character trailers today, and here are some details you may have missed in those trailers.

Grand Theft Auto V has been covered in rumors up to this point due to Rockstar Games’ teasing silence combined with an unassuming screensaver about the religious spoof Epsilonism. Today, some of those rumors have been laid to rest with the release of three character-specific trailers about the protagonists Michael, Franklin and Trevor. While most of us were just basking in the glow of gameplay footage, others picked details out of the ensuing chaos to give us some ideas of what to expect.

The music of Grand Theft Auto V is again one of the highlights of the game, as driving (even some random whosit’s car) is just better with some nice tunes. It’s been that way since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. New tracks this time around include “Radio Gaga” by Queen (from the Michael trailer), “Hood Gone Love It” by Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar (from the Franklin trailer), and “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way” by Waylon Jennings (from the Trevor trailer).

Some weapons used in the game trailers include the AK-47, the FN SCAR, a semi-auto handgun with slider, and a shotgun with a flashlight attachment.

Vehicles that are apparently making an appearance in Grand Theft Auto V are the monster truck, a construction tractor, and a prop plane. And we may see exotic tuners as well with NOS systems.

Grand Theft Auto V may also feature the followers of Epsilonism’s founder Cris Fromage, and possibly a villain as a spoof on Tom Cruise as a result. This is just speculation, but it would be entertaining to see a take on that route.

The trailers can be seen on YouTube and Game Informer, and the Franklin version is above.
