Jennifer Lopez’s Son Gets Stitches On His Chin

Jennifer Lopez’s son received stitches after he accidentally cut his chin.

The superstar admitted that she lost her cool when five-year-old Max hurt himself. The injury happened when the little boy fell. However, Lopez said her worries soon vanished when her son started laughing about the accident.

“Max got stitches on his chin. You know, I hear all little boys have a little scar on their chin. Of course I was freaking out, but he was fine. He said it tickled,” the singer explained to Us Weekly.

Although Lopez said she cherishes the time she spends with her kids, she admitted that she enjoyed some “down time” while attending the grand opening of the new club Hakkasan at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

“It’s a little night off from being a mom and that’s exciting. It’s nice to have a little down time,” she explained. “I’m about to launch the single so I’ll be working on that probably for the next two or three months.”

Jennifer Lopez attended the recent event with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and her boyfriend Casper Smart.

The singer was the center of a rumor last week that suggested she had been tapped by American Idol producers to replace Mariah Carey. The show’s sagging ratings reportedly prompted showrunners to make some changes to the format.

Despite claims from insiders that a secret plot to drop Carey had taken shape, a network representative said the rumors were completely false.

“This is just another ridiculous ‘Idol’ judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer Lopez performing on the finale,” the rep said in a statement.

American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe said he wasn’t aware of any such plot against Mariah Carey. “I have not been included in any conversation regarding replacing Mariah with Jen this season,” he added.
