Reese Witherspoon Admits New Baby Is Stressful In Pre-Arrest Interview

Reese Witherspoon’s arrest came as a shock to many, as the squeaky clean Southern sweetheart is probably the last celeb you’d expect to see in cuffs, but the star admitted just prior to her embarrassing incident that having a third child was taking its toll.

Reese Witherspoon reportedly became belligerent and angry during the heated traffic stop earlier this month, but the star has not had an easy time of it in recent months, she candidly admitted during the pre-arrest interview.

Speaking to British mag Red, the Legally Blonde star discussed the challenges of having a new baby in the house — referring to Tennessee, the son she has with new hubby Jim Toth.

Tennessee was born in September, and Witherspoon said most days keeping everything together can get tricky — she explained:

“Ever since I had the baby, I can’t remember anything. Seriously, this child stole my brain. I’m sure I’m losing friendships over forgetting to get back to people. But you can’t keep up with everything. I’ve got a 13-year-old, a 9-year-old and a baby.”

Reese likened her new gig as a mom to three to the little flashing ticker on network news, describing a common thought process in her day to day life — before the arrest:

“Where is Ava? She’s okay. Good. Where is Deacon? He’s okay. Good. Where is Tennessee? Is he okay? Yes. Great. Back to Ava … It doesn’t stop.”

Indeed, most parents to a newborn and other kids can relate to Reese Witherspoon’s stresses, and, just like not famous moms, the star says her girlfriends save her sanity most of the time:

“Oh my gosh, I don’t know what I would have done so many times in my life if I hadn’t had my girlfriends … They have literally gotten me up out of bed, taken my clothes off, put me in the shower, dressed me, said, ‘Hey, you can do this,’ put my high heels on and pushed me out the door!”
