As 10 band members die in a crash, the five injured survivors of the Mexican band La Reyna de Monterrey are in the hospital.

La Reyna de Monterrey is famous for its Banda music. 10 band members died in a crash on the road that links the Mexican industrial city of Monterrey with the United States border city of Laredo. Mexico’s federal highway police report that the Mexican band La Reyna de Monterrey were returning to Monterrey after giving a concert in a Texas city.

The cause of the 10 band members dying in a crash is assumed to be the driver following asleep, veering into the oncoming lane, and crashing head-on into a tractor trailer. Five of the band members were injured. The impact was said to be so powerful that several of the band members were catapulted out of the van and onto the road.
