‘Scribblenauts Unmasked’ Getting DC Universe Treatment

Scribblenauts Unmasked is apparently the next title in the uber popular series. This particular title will go where none of the other versions have dared to go.

The reason there is an “unmasked” in the title is because you will actually be drawing and advernturing in the DC Universe. All of this is still a bit of a rumor so far, but it those rumors appear to be rather trustworthy these days.

The game series where you can come up with drawings of almost anything that your imagination can come up with has been popular enough to be featured at launch for the Wii U.

Scribblenauts Unmasked would feature Maxwell yet again, only this time he’s taking his funny little pad and paper and help out some of the DC Universe’s most powerful heroes.

Apparently this game is a long way from being a reality just yet. Most of the details that have just been made public came to light thanks to an interview from developers from the game’s creators 5th cell.

It appears that the developers have been looking for a new angle for the game series for a while but have been stymied until this particular idea came to light.

In early builds of this new game, characters like The Joker, Clayface, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Black Manta, and Mr. Freeze. Whether or not these characters are actually going to be in the final game are anyone’s guess at this point.

Further rumors seem to indicate that a more polished build of the game could be revealed at this year’s E3 conference. Should this release be the shot in the arm it needs, we can expect the game to make another appearance on the 3DS, as well as the Wii and the Wii U.

What do you think of the upcoming Scribblenauts Unmasked game?
