Beyoncé Teases New Song ‘Standing On The Sun’ [Video]

Beyoncé in a bikini. Working her considerable magic in Swedish retailer H&M’s latest advertising campaign, the 31-year-old teases her new song “Standing on the Sun” in an accompanying 90 second video.

Directed by the noted Jonas Akerlund, a sensuous Beyoncé dances up a storm backed by a line-up similarly nubile ladies making merry on a Bahamas beach.

The campaign is titled “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter,” and “Standing on the Sun” does exactly what it says on the tin. A “rolling” beat carries the singer from the verse and bridge into a sunburst of a hook with interesting minor chording.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the song will be a single on her upcoming album, but Rolling Stone reports there is no word on that yet.

“Standing on the Sun” is Beyoncé’s third musical 2013 offering and follows her recent Pepsi TV spot “Grown Woman” and mixed reception to the unyielding “Bow Down / I Been On.”

With her 61-date “Mrs. Carter Show” world tour now underway, Houston’s finest hits the UK today for a run of 11 shows before continuing through Europe.

Then, it’s back to the US on June 28 and a finish date of August 5 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

So far, the mother of one’s shows have generated some heat, largely due to the showstopping outfits — contributed by a host of designers — she has worn on stage. A crystal-studded bodysuit hand-painted with trompe l’oeil breasts and nipples caused quite the stir.

More recently, Beyoncé’s response to the unflattering Super Bowl photo meme has been to ban all professional photographers from her tour shows.

Questionable decisions aside, the first lady of R&B looks and sounds as if she could usher in the summer by sheer force of will alone in her fashion meets music outing.

What do you think of Beyoncé’s and H&M’s tease of “Standing on the Sun?” Does it make you want to hear more?
