In her self-published book, Eden’s former manager, Heather Ryan details allegations that Mickie’s obsession with making her daughter a beauty queen, threatening her health and well-being.

The e-book, titled Unleashing a Momster, is being sold at Amazon.com for around $10. The book includes links to various material, which Ryan includes as proof of the alleged abuse.

Ryan describes Mickie as “lying, demanding and evil to the core.” She states that Eden was regularly made to consume Red Bull energy drinks and espresso to maintain her energy level. Ryan points out that at age 6, Eden was far too young to consume the sugary and caffeine heavy beverages.

Ryan also details rehearsal and practice sessions that lasted for up to eight hours. Eden continually practiced until she was literally exhausted. Ryan explains that Mickie would routinely berate Eden if her performance was less than perfect.

Mickie is accused of calling her daughter derogatory names, referring to her as “little sh*t.” Additionally, she would often compare Eden to her father, calling her a “loser.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Mickie defends herself against allegations that she is a “control freak” and “baby-pageant slave driver.” She states that she is “going to do it whether you approve or you don’t.”

She explains that Toddlers Tiaras is not scripted like some reality programming. The program realistically and honestly portrays the life of child beauty queens and their families.

Mickie issued a statement to the Huffington Post, directly addressing the abuse allegations in Ryan’s book. She states that the “allegations are untrue,” and she is “sad and disappointed” that Ryan has published “false and defamatory material.”
