Chelsea Clinton Buys New $10 Million New York Apartment

Chelsea Clinton has spent $10million on a new home in New York city, and her apartment is officially the longest in Manhattan too.

Clinton’s abode stretches across an entire block from 26th street to 27th street just off of Madison Avenue. It has been described as a “luxury fortress” and actually has its own full-time doorman to protect the building’s four units.

According to the New York Daily News, the 33 year-old bought the four bedroom, 5,000-square-foot apartment with her husband Marc Mezvinsky. But only after they put their $4million home on the market, which they did earlier this year.

Their new home is located in The Whitman building, which is next to Madison Square Park. It is one of the most sought after areas in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.

The 90 year-old building is the home to four apartments, each of which takes up an entire floor. Three are worth $10million whilst the duplex penthouse is worth around $22.5million.

Melanie Lazenby, the daughter of the former James Bond, George Lazenby, currently shares the residential building’s listing, stated, “There’s a full-time doorman for only four apartments. I don’t know any other building with that kind of personal service.”

She added, “Wives light up when they see the closets. They smile and say they’ll need more clothes to live here. Their husbands just shake their heads.”

Lazenby also noted, “The long apartment, located at 21 East 26th St enables ‘one spouse to be fast asleep while the other has a huge dinner party. All on one floor.”

Their new home possesses six and a half bathrooms, a home office and den, plus a planting terrace and a private storage space too. It also features two dishwashers, commodes, and a female dressing room, which will be perfect for Chelsea.
