New Jacksonville Jaguars Uniforms Revealed

The Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled their new Nike uniforms today.

Yahoo News reports that Nike signed a five-year deal last year to become the official apparel supplier of the NFL for the next five years. The company redesigned the Seattle Seahawks’ uniform last year and they plan on unveiling a new look for the Miami Dolphins later this week.

The new Jaguars’ uniforms feature a large number on the front underneath a small JAGS patch to honor the military. Jacksonville is home to the third largest military population in the country.

The team said in a press release:

“The Jaguars proudly salute their hard working military fan base with a patch placed on the front plane of the jersey, directly over the heart. The patch features a forward facing Jaguar head as well as the new JAGS wordmark.”

Jaguars Owner Shahid Khan added:

“These uniforms balance our tradition with the future… The military-style badge on the front of the jersey speaks directly to the strong relationship we have with our hometown of Jacksonville. These new uniforms leave no doubt about our brand essence of being proud, bold and committed.”
