‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Screensaver Reveals Religious Spoof

Grand Theft Auto V is leaking more and more possible details, including a screensaver which spoofs a religion.

A screensaver released advertising Grand Theft Auto V contains a religious spoof on Scientology, which the game is calling Epsilonism. The images and the vague wording not only spoof the religion spawned by L. Ron Hubbard, but also seem to give details about the game itself.

The Twitter account @EpsilonismToday is dedicated to promoting the spoof on a religion that has already been deemed fake, and in some countries, illegal. It is offering a free screensaver on a web page set up specifically to promote Epsilonism. Hopefully Tom Cruise doesn’t order the website taken down or something.

The Twitter account used in this promotion has teased potential story details on a character in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Cris Fromage, the game’s founder of Epsilonism, has had information leaked concerning his ultimate fate through @EpsilonismToday, suggesting that Grand Theft Auto V may involve some missions surrounding the character.

After five months on hiatus, the Twitter account has returned with the above mentioned screensaver, saying “The Goals and the Pledge of Epsilon will continue to be revealed in due time” with the hashtag #KIFFLOM. The site, hosted by Rockstar Games, teases us with the following phrase, “The Epsilon Program does not exist in just one time or place. We invite you to visit one of our enlightenment centers. Directions will be provided in one week’s time.”

What could all of this mean? We know that Epsilonism and its founder Cris Fromage may be part of the story of Grand Theft Auto V, and there is a screensaver giving us clues surrounding the game. Epsilonism apparently follows the twelve Tenets of KIFFLOM, which are ridiculous and sometimes absurd (men and women are supposed to sleep with multiple partners every week, apparently).

The screensaver, minus the words, offers us clues as to some locations which may be in Grand Theft Auto V, and is above.

What do you think of the screensaver teasing aspects of Grand Theft Auto V?
