‘NCAA Football 14’ First Look Official Trailer Shows Off Celebrations, Realism [Video]

NCAA Football 14 has released a new “First Look” trailer that shows off different features of the game that the first trailer demonstrated. The first trailer for the game centered more on the new mechanics that the title will use this year.

Those mechanics are being billed as quite a bit better than in years past and will bring the series more in line with the ultra-popular Madden games. This second trailer is more about the features of the game itself.

There is a running theme through both videos that shows just how realistic this year’s version of the college football game is aiming to be. Electronics Arts has long had the motto that “if it’s in the game, it’s in the game.”

NCAA Football 14 looks to be staying true to that motto. The video illustrates that there is quite a bit of on-field chatter while you are playing and if you listen close enough you can even hear the slap of hands as teammates go to congratulate each other.

The video also shows off that the studio host chatter is quite a bit more realistic and seems like it is more a conversation, as opposed to someone sitting in a booth and recording a few lines that will be repeated over and over.

Stat heads should also be plenty happy with this title as the trailer shows off different statistical overlays that are used throughout a game such as the drive summary.

Speaking of realism, this version of the series will have very different atmospheres for each stadium and there is even the ability to actually get the Seven Nation Army chant going through your crowd.

What sort of realistic type game would we have if we didn’t get some truly original celebrations? The video delivers there as well, showing off a number of different ways teams will celebrate their victories.

NCAA Football 14 is due out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on July 9.
