First Four Minutes Of ‘Defiance’ Episode 2 Posted Online [Video]

Defiance is well known among science fiction fans as the first cross platform product that is trying to combine the action from the television series and the video game.

Because the video game actually came first, people know more about that the actual television show. That is likely why the SyFy continues to let tidbits like the first four minutes of the next episode out on the net.

Judging by recent ratings, the show is actually doing OK as far as viewership goes and releasing this particular video as a way to make sure that those viewers are actually going to come back and watch the second episode.

Defiance episode two, which is entitled, Down in the Ground Where the Dead Men Go, picks up where the first episode left off. That means that Nolan has officially donned the star of town lawman and now has to navigate the rather choppy waters of a town inhabited by multiple races of beings.

Apparently, tensions are even more on the rise than usual when Nolan steps right into the middle of a Castithan ritual. Understanding that different cultures have different religious and cultural practices certainly seems like it will be a recurring theme of the season as we get introduced that the story inhabits.

The lack of patience and understanding between the many groups of entities in the show are only going to be exacerbated by the fact that one of the most powerful men in the town is also a huge crime boss and has already gone toe-to-toe with Nolan as the head lawman in charge.

The fact that the bad guy is smart about his dealings and the lawman is someone we still don’t know much about means that this clash could go a couple of different ways as the season unfolds.

Check out the first four minutes of Defiance, then watch the full episode later this week and tell us what you think.
