Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Uncle Speaks To Press: Bomb Suspects Are Barbarians

Two uncles of suspected Boston bombers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev spoke to the press today and expressed shock and anger at the series of attacks this week.

Tamerlan was killed last night during a shootout with police while his brother, Dzhokhar, is still on the run.

Anzor Tsarnaev, the suspects’ uncle, spoke to reporters from his home in Makhachkala, Russia today.

Tsarnaev said that he was shocked to learn of his nephews involvement in the bombing and said that they were both “barbarians.”

Tsarnaev said: “(I’m) absolutely shocked … absolutely devastated … (It’s) not comprehensible in our family. They’ve been refugees in this country. Refugees come from war … (They are) barbarians, wherever they are … They do not deserve to be on this earth … What can I say? They murdered.”

Alvi Tsarn, another uncle, had a hard time believing that his nephews were involved with the Boston marathon bombing.

Tsarn said: “I can’t believe this, it’s not possible,” Tsarni said, “My nephews can’t do this stuff. There’s no way.”

Anzor Tsarnaev and Alvi Tsarn are just the latest family members to speak to the press about Boston bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The boys’ father said that his sons were “angels” and he could not understand why they would do such a terrible thing.
