Malin Akerman Baby: ‘Couples Retreat’ Actress Welcomes First Child

Actress Malin Akerman is officially a mommy for the first time!

According to People magazine, the Rock of Ages star and her husband, musician husband Roberto Zincone, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world on Tuesday, April 16.

Akerman, 34, hopped on Twitter to share the happy news with her fans.

Malin tweeted:

“My husband and I welcomed our beautiful, healthy baby boy to this world this morning! Biggest joy of my life!!! #lovemykid.”

A few minutes later, she added, “PS and his name is…Sebastian Zincone :))) Love him more than life itself!! #whatafeeling !!!”

Akerman, who gained her first starring role in the 2007 film The Heartbreak Kid, first announced her pregnancy in September.

A month later, the Swedish-born actress revealed her April due date and dished on details regarding her “random” food cravings.

“[The pregnancy] is so new and early, [but I crave] the most random things – fries and grilled cheese sandwiches, and everything that’s bad for you. But it tastes so good.”

Akerman and Zincone married in June 2007. Prior to tying the knot, the two were actually in a band together – The Petalstones.

Robert drummed and Malin was the singer.

In addition to her first-time mommy duties, Malin Akerman has a number of upcoming television shows and films she is slated to star in.

Later this month, she will be seen next to John Cusack in the action thriller The Numbers Station.

She also has a starring role in ABC‘s recently picked-up single-camera comedy pilot Trophy Wife.

The show, which is expected to debut in 2013, revolves around Kate (Ackerman), a reformed party girl who finds herself with an insta-family when she falls in love with a man with three manipulative children and two judgmental ex-wives.
