Congratulations are in order for Backstreet Boys singer Kevin Richardson, who is all set to be come a father for the second time.
According to Contact Music, the 41-year-old singer and his wife Kristin are expecting a baby sometime later this year.
The new bundle of joy will join the couple’s older son Mason, who was born in July 2007, seven years after Kristin and Kevin married in Kentucky.
“So excited to share… The Easter Bunny brought a very special egg this year!” the singer posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday, along with a picture of his beautiful bride posing next to the Easter bunny.
For those counting, Richardson’s forthcoming baby will be the sixth born to the members of the Backstreet Boys.
Brian Littrell has one child, AJ McLean’s firstborn arrived in November last year, and Howie Dorough welcomed his second child into the world in February.
In addition to preparing for the birth of his second baby, Richardson has been busy working with the Backstreet Boys on a new album and preparing for their upcoming tour, which is slated to kick off in May 31.
The new album and tour are part of the band’s celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The group also reportedly is producing a tell-all documentary, which will give fans a more intimate look at their lives and rise to stardom. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2014.
“We always wanted to make a film and now is the ideal time,” The band said in a statement. “With Kevin back, the fact that we are masters of our own destiny, a new album in the works and our 20th anniversary — it all adds up to being the right time to share our story.”
