Updated: Three dead in University of Alabama Huntsville shooting


Three people are confirmed dead in a shooting on the University of Alabama Huntsville campus, local news sources are reporting.

Police responded to a call at the Shelby Center at around 4pm local time. In addition to the three reported fatalities, there is at least one person reported injured at the scene. The campus is currently on lockdown, and the alleged shooter is reportedly in custody. Reports indicate that the shooter was described as “a woman wearing a pink sweater and a black and white shirt.” Some reports indicate that as many as ten people may have been injured, two critically.

No further information is available about the incident.
