Deadliest Catch Star Missing In Season 9 Sneak Peek [Video]

The Deadliest Catch is about to embark on its ninth season but there is one person noticeably missing from the action: Elliott Neese.

Neese, who leads the Ramblin’ Rose crew into perilous seas, was not on deck for the season preview. The episode doesn’t air until April 16 but a preview for the season was released today.

The sneak peek shows all of the other captains and crews preparing their boats but Deadliest Catch star Elliott Neese is nowhere to be seen.

Scott Campbell of the Seabrooke said: “Elliot should be here. He should be ready to go.”

Neese, who is the youngest captain on the show, struggled during last season in rough waters.

The exact reason for Neese’s absence hasn’t been explained but Sig Hansen, captain of the Northwestern, believes that Neese may have been fired from his job.

Hansen said: “In all honesty, I’m kinda not surprised Elliott isn’t here this year … No owner is going to let a guy run a boat and not produce. You’re going to lose your job.”

Here’s a preview for the ninth season of the Discovery show.

Do you think The Deadliest Catch star will be missing from this season? You can get your answer to that question below but if you’re a diehard fan and want your news to come as slow as television, then be warned, there be spoilers ahead.

Neese will be returning to the show this year. In a press release for the upcoming season, Discovery wrote about Neese’s financial problems and said that the young captain was “all in” for season nine.

Discovery writes: “The youngest skipper in the fleet, Elliott Neese, is all in this year as he returns as the owner of his own boat, the F/V Saga. With more than $1 million in the hole and 10 bucks to his name, the stakes have never been higher for Neese.”

So yes, he won’t be the captain of the Ramblin’ Rose but he will be back in his own boat.
