New ‘Hangover 3’ Trailer Focuses On The Plot [Video]

The latest trailer for The Hangover 3 gives fans of the franchise a good look at the sequel’s plot.

The movie reunites the cast from the previous installments of Todd Phillips’ comedy franchise for one final get-together. This time around, the gang will have to find the elusive Mr. Chow in order to save their friend from a Las Vegas gangster.

The movie begins with the death of Alan’s dad. When he is unable to control his grief, Alan’s friends decide to stage an intervention. Instead of heading off for yet another bachelor party, the guys decide to drive the poor guy to a rehabilitation facility. It doesn’t take long for things to spiral out of control.

Although previews can often be very deceiving, the trailer for The Hangover Part III makes the movie look a lot stronger than the previous entry in the series. The fact that the bachelor party plot has been dumped for something more original should hopefully get things back on track.

Despite receiving a handful of negative reviews upon its release, the sequel to the original film still managed to make a decent chunk of change during its theatrical run. The flick made an impressive $254 at the domestic box office. Phillips’ sequel would go on to make $581 million around the world.

The Hangover 3 brings back many of the players from both The Hangover and The Hangover Part II. Included among the cast are Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Bartha, John Goodman, Sasha Barrese, and Jamie Chung.

Writer and co-director Todd Phillips’ follow-up is rumored to be the last sequel in the franchise. Of course, Warner Bros. may decide to move forward with yet another installment should this one prove to be quite popular at the box office this summer.

The Hangover 3 is slated to arrive in theaters around the country on May 24. Are you looking for the Wolfpack’s final adventure?
