Anne Hathaway Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’

Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar is looking more and more like a reunion. As usual for his films, Nolan is entrusting in people he has worked with in the past to build around his lead. Anne Hathaway, who played Cat woman in his The Dark Knight Rises, is very close to joining his new sci fi film Interstellar.

If Anne Hathaway joins the buzzed about Interstellar, this will be the second time the actress has worked with Nolan. It will also be yet another sci fi look from Nolan. His last was his 2010 box office hit Inception. Hathaway would be paired up with Matthew McConaughey, who confirmed his involvement in the film after rumors circulated the week prior.

So far we haven’t heard much about Interstellar so we can’t say exactly what Hathaway’s role would entail, but the actress is extremely busy these days. For her to even consider taking on another project suggests that this film will be out of this world, and a nice leap into a different genre for her.

As of right now Interstellar is only known as a sci fi film with an intriguing, but vague premise. When we first reported on the film, we were only given a one-sentence description, which was that the film would “depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding.” Now we have a little more info on the film that’s been described as revolving around “a group of space explorers travel through a wormhole.” Sounds pretty wild, but we wouldn’t put it past Nolan as he seems to go really out there for his sci fi films.

If Hathaway agrees to take on this role, it will be the first film she’s signed on to since her Oscar win for Les Miserables. In addition, the actress has Laggies, a story about a woman who lies to her fiance about going on a retreat and spends time hanging out with friends instead. While the cast for that film seems promising, with the likes of Sam Rockwell, and Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Nolan’s film seems a bit more intriguing.
