‘Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ Creeping Onto Wii U In August

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is going to be launching on the Wii U this August. The game had been rumored to be coming to Nintendo’s console for a while but now we actually have confirmation.

Rumors are started in funny ways some time and these particular rumors were originally started when two Ubisoft employees updated their LinkedIn profiles.

The updates showed that they were actually working on the title for the Wii U platform. That alone should show you that if you look hard enough, you can find out almost anything by using social networking.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist has already been confirmed on the Xbox 360, the PS3 and PC and it will now be sneaking on the Wii U on August 20 in the United States, August 22 in the EMEA territories and August 23 in the UK.

It appears that the developers have gone out of their way to come with new and unique way to use the game with the Wii U’s gamepad.

There are a number of different features that will be pulled off with the gamepad. You can easily switch between weapons, take out enemies and sneak through the environment with the innovative controller.

This particular line of games has become incredibly popular over the last few years thanks in large part to the iconic hero in the game.

The title has actually become so popular that there is apparently a movie based on the game coming out in the next few years.

Tom Hardy is set to star as Sam Fischer when the movie finally does release.

This could be one of the few games that is actually helped by the move to the Wii U because of all the complex movements and directions that are in the game.

Using the gamepad for specific preset options could make this one of the more popular titles on the system.
