Some utterly unsurprising news for you now: The Sims 3 will be released on game consoles and handhelds around Christmas 2010. Because EA likes money.
The PC version launched last June, shipping a ridiculous 3.7 million units in its opening three months, and ensuring the family PC would be hogged by any resident tweens for quite some time after.
Now, the horror is coming to consoles, which usually end up with the inferior version but still sell zagillions of copies. Another sound reason to question the point of mankind.
No word yet on which consoles and handhelds, but look, it’s EA, and it’s The Sims. It will be on pretty much every format ever. And at least ten people you know will buy it.
