Adam Lambert Splits With Boyfriend

Adam Lambert split up with his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, according to a report from Jason Parsley for South Florida Gay News. The American Idol season 8 runner-up had nothing really negative to say about the end of his relationship with the 28-year-old Finnish media personality who rose to fame after winning the 2007 Finnish Big Brother.

The 31-year-old Lambert told Parsley that the two-year relationship had pretty much run out of steam, but there were no hard feelings. “I know it’s a cliché thing to say. But it’s totally true. I just gave him a coffee and bagel earlier today.”

It’s a pretty peaceful and drama-free statement from the star who once said, “Men are divas too.”

Lambert has been traveling a lot recently, which distanced him from Koskinen. As well as performing frequently all over the world, Lambert was recently honored at the 24th annual GLAAD media awards. GLAAD is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization that recognized the singer/songwriter for making “a significant difference in promoting equality” for the LGBT community.

But life, and his relationship with Koskinen, hasn’t always sailed along that smoothly. In 2011, both men were arrested as a result of a well-publicized domestic brawl in Helsinki, Finland. According to an account in People, they started quarreling in a bar called Don’t Tell Mama. When they got kicked out, they began fighting on the street — which led to the police briefly jailing both of them.

The couple blamed jet lag mixed with alcohol and patched things up quickly.

There’s no evidence that Lambert is particularly heart-broken about the two of them going their separate ways. He was photographed in a pair of retro-ish rocker sunglasses on Friday night at a Beverly Hills, CA nightclub.

It looks like Adam Lambert’s split won’t get him down. He’s ready to have fun.
