Nick Carter’s Wedding May Be Televised

Nick Carter is open to filming his wedding for television, according to a recent interview.

The youngest member of the Backstreet Boys and his sweetheart, fitness trainer Lauren Kitt, announced their engagement in February. According to Nick, the couple have been approached with offers to share their impending trip down the aisle on the small screen — an idea that the entertainer is considering.

“There have been offers and opportunities to film the actual wedding, like a TV show,” the groom-to-be revealed.

While he’s certainly used to being in the spotlight, Nick Carter isn’t completely sold on the idea of making his wedding a public spectacle.

“I was up for it to a certain degree, but then at the same time, I might not even do that,” he explained. “We might just keep it private. We’ll see what’s up.”

The couple should have plenty of time to decide if they want to exchange vows in front of a film crew.

They haven’t pinned down a date for the ceremony just yet, and Nick Carter has indicated that the wedding won’t take place until at least the early part of 2014.

As previously reported in The Inquisitr, Nick proposed to his future bride in February during a romantic getaway to the Florida Keys.

He brought along several close friends and his future father-in-law to witness the sweet moment, which took place on a secluded island that the Backstreet Boy visited as a child.

Shortly after the trip, Nick Carter confirmed the engagement to People magazine and shared his nervousness about popping the question. “I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks,” he explained. “I was like, ‘I don’t want it anymore!’ It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers.”

It’s turning out to be an eventful year for Nick Carter. In addition to planning his upcoming wedding, he’s also been recording music with his bandmates. The Backstreet Boys, who recently celebrated their 20th anniversary in the music business, are reportedly planning to release a new album later this year.
