Kaley Cuoco To Present ACM Award For Some Reason
Kaley Cuoco, star of CBS hit comedy The Big Bang Theory, will be presenting at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas. Other stars including Grammy-winning Sheryl Crow and American Idol host Keith Urban will also be among the presenters, but it’s the lovely Cuoco who really makes you stop and scratch your head. Because when you think about a program about science nerds, then you just naturally think about country music. Right?
Anyhoo, it’s the 48th annual ACM event, and it will be hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
A model as well as an actress, Kelly Cuoco reached lucky 13 on the 2011 list of Maxim magazine’s “Hot 100.” She’s definitely easy on the eyes and regularly pops up in blonde versus blonde comparisons.
For example, on Tuesday, People asked the enduring question of whether her topknot was better than the same updo being worn by Ashlee Simpson.
You’re welcome to check it out for yourself, but for my money, it looks equally unflattering on both of them. Maybe she should try the stylist who did the makeover on co-star Jim Parsons for GQ.
Be that as it may, The Big Bang Theory star might have seemed a natural for tweeting a paid ad for Dish, the satellite TV provider. Trouble is, Dish is in direct competition with her employer CBS. That tweet came down almost immediately.
And nobody can object to her appearing in a Priceline spot with former Star Trek captain William Shatner.
But a presenter at a country music awards show? Seems a bit fish out of water to me.
