Chris Bosh Robbed: $340,000 In Jewelry Stolen From Miami Beach Home

Chris Bosh’s Miami home was robbed last night.

According to ESPN, someone stole about $340,000 worth of jewelry from Bosh’s home in Miami.

The Miami Heat star was out celebrating his 29th birthday with his wife and friends at the South Beach Bamboo nightclub. Bosh returned home at about midnight and noticed that a jewelry drawer was left open.

Miami Beach Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Hernandez said that two housekeepers were at the house watching Bosh’s kids at the time of the robbery.

Hernandez told The Huffington Post: “We got a call at 12:30 last night, Mr. Bosh called us when he arrived home. His jewelry and closet had been ransacked. There were two housekeepers on the scene that were babysitting the Bosh’s children and they didn’t hear anything.”

The thieves took watches, rings, purses, and several other pieces of jewelry. The thieves were kind enough to leave Bosh’s Championship ring behind.

Police said that there was no sign of forced entry. Officers are currently interviewing the housekeeping staff and other employees who may have had access to the house.

Hernandez added: “Either they were let in, or they were in before the housekeepers got there. We’re thinking that this is a total inside job. According to Mr. Bosh and Mrs. Bosh the [stolen] items were there when they left, so the window of opportunity is between 6 p.m. and midnight.”
